Stress & Anxiety Management Program
A six session educational, skills and strategies based group program for people wanting assistance with managing everyday stress and anxiety.
Learn with others in a friendly and supportive environment. Build your own Managing Stress & Anxiety manual to keep using the comprehensive weekly handouts.
This program will assist you to:
- Understand your triggers and signs of stress and anxiety
- Learn the ABC's of healthy thinking
- Develop relaxation skills
- Discuss coping styles and strategies
- Learn ways to address perfectionism
- Gain assistance with identifying your strengths
- Enhance your life management skills - goal setting, problem solving/decision making, and time management
- Gain ideas for reducing worry
- Understand how certain health and lifestyle changes can reduce stress & anxiety

Session Structure:
The group facilitator understands the need to create a friendly and relaxed environment. The facilitator will provide information and handouts at each session. Group participation is encouraged, however, it is up to each person to decide if he or she wants to contribute to the group discussions. There may be some brief small group activities but there are no role plays!

This program will focus on teaching stress and anxiety management skills and will not directly address a specific anxiety disorder. The program will be more appropriate for people who need assistance managing their own stress levels and managing stressful situations or environments at work, study or home.
The program is conducted in a group with a minimum of 8 and maximum of 10 participants.
