Stress & Anxiety Management Program

A six session educational, skills and strategies based group program for people wanting assistance with managing everyday stress and anxiety.

Course Duration:
6 sessions of 2.5 hours

Times: Thursday evenings, 7.00pm - 9.30pm 

Venue:   ARCVic, 42 High Street Road, Ashwood
Fee:       $150.00 - Medicare rebates for sessions are available subject to eligibility criteria

Program Dates for 2010:

Term 1: 18th February until 25th March
Term 2: 6th May until 10th June

Term 3: 5th August until 9th September

Session Structure:

The group facilitator understands the need to create a friendly and relaxed environment. The facilitator will provide information and handouts at each session. Group participation is encouraged, however, it is up to each person to decide if he or she wants to contribute to the group discussions. There may be some brief small group activities but there are no role plays!

This program will focus on teaching stress and anxiety management skills and will not directly address a specific anxiety disorder. The program will be more appropriate for people who need assistance managing their own stress levels and managing stressful situations or environments at work, study or home.


The program is conducted in a group with a minimum of 8 and maximum of 10 participants.
