Social Anxiety Disorder Recovery Program
An 8 week recovery program for people living with social anxiety disorder
A skills based program for people experiencing social anxiety disorder as a primary condition. The program is aimed at supporting participants to gain knowledge, skills and strategies to assist recovery from social anxiety disorder. The program provides a warm and safe environment in which participants will be supported to face and take control of their fears.
This program will assist you to:
- Gain better understanding and knowledge of social anxiety
- Change unhelpful thoughts, beliefs and behaviours
- Identify patterns of behaviours and feelings that maintain social anxiety - and learn ways to establish new, more helpful patterns
- Develop skills to manage the physical anxiety responses
- Gradually face anxiety producing situations
- Overcome barriers to achieving your goals
- Enhance confidence in social situations

Dates: Friday 18th May to Friday 6th July, 2007
Course Duration: 8 sessions of 2 hours
Time: 10.00am - 12.00pm
Venue: ARCVic, 42 High Street Road, Ashwood
Fee: $150.00

A pre-program interview will be arranged with interested participants to assess the program's suitability in meeting each person's requirements.
The program is conducted in a group setting with between 8 to 10 participants.
