Overcoming Panic
An 8 week recovery program for people who experience panic attacks
A skills based program for people experiencing panic attacks. The program is aimed at supporting participants to gain knowledge, skills and strategies to assist recovery from panic attacks. The program provides a warm and safe environment in which participants will be supported to face and take control of their fears.
This program will assist you to:
- Gain control over and reduce the effects of panic attacks
- Develop skills to manage the physical anxiety responses
- Change unhelpful thoughts, beliefs and behaviours
- Learn relaxation techniques to improve ability to deal with anxiety and stress
- Gradually face anxiety producing situations
- Enhance confidence in your own strengths and abilities
- Overcome barriers to achieving your goals

Course Duration: 8 sessions of 2 hours
Venue: ARCVic, 42 High Street Road, Ashwood
Fee: $150.00
Facilitator: Prue Lewis, Psychologist, ARCVic Consultant
A pre-program interview will be arranged with interested participants to assess the program's suitability in meeting each person's requirements.
The program is conducted in a group setting with between 8 to 10 participants.
